The father to Uganda’s most talked about man of the moment Fred Kajjubi Lumbuye has come out to speak, days after his son was allegedly arrested.
Lumbuye was arrested in Turkey last Tuesday on allegations of breaching immigration laws in the country.
Uganda’s police spokesperson Fred Enanga while speaking to the press on Monday morning revealed that although they are yet to have Mr Lumbuye in their custody, they are processing about 15 charges to slap on him such as inciting violence, offensive communication among others.
Many Ugandan rights activists and members of the opposition National Unity Platform have tried to block Lumbuye’s Extradition to Uganda, but it appears that’s what his father wants.
According to Lumbuye’s Father, he wants his son to be flown to Uganda and stands trial there rather than keeping incarcerated in a foreign country or his son’s whereabouts to remain unknown.
He said this during an interview with the local TV station.
